Vangjel Poda

Kaba of two parts type: kabe and dance. The first part of the kaba refers to the violin as a concert instrument through the development of several motifs, mainly of a wailing nature. It is obvious the mastery of Vangjel Poda in violin and especially the mixture of features in performing the gërnet’s kaba and the violin’s. As it is known, Vangjel Poda performed on both of these instruments and apparently he reflected these features mixed whenever he interpreted as a soloist on the violin or the gërnet. The second part is a typical Leskovic dance with a 2\4 rhythm.

Vangjel Poda’s kaba for violin is a masterpiece of its kind in two perspectives: both for the originality of the motifs and its interpretation and for the consolidation of the tradition of these kaba in the second half of the century XX.
