This kaba is one of the most virtuoso one-part Tosk kaba and a very valuable reflection of the beginnings of this type of kaba created and realized by the great forerunners of the Sazes of Leskovik, Përmet and Korça.
Its motif’s line is a lament presented by solo gërnet, just as if it were a mourner. Then the lament’s kaba is developed with the contained iso of the sazes and the entrance of the second gërnet. The constant repetition of the motif brings its development in the middle register of the gërnet by increasing the emotional intensity and creating a group isopolyphony that is enriched even with the insertion of the flute. The culmination is reached in the highest garnet register, while the melodic solo lines are all interweaved in full polyphonic “fractus”. Everything is perfect, thus marking the most innovative Kaba created and interpreted in the second half of the 20th century.
His Saze also consisted of Aurel Qirjo on violin, Agron Murati on lute, Gimi i Veles on tambourine, Avni Hoxha on whistle, etc.
