She initially participated in the music shows of Radio-Shkodra, and then moved with her family to Tirana, where she studied singing at the “Jordan Misja” Artistic High School, with teacher Jorgjie Truja for only two years. As Lucia herself said “… initially I used to sing rhythmic songs”. Then she sang with the characteristic group of Shkodra in Radio-Tirana, directed by renowned Paulin Pali, to continue in 1950 as a soloist in the Albanian Philharmonic, in the State Variety Show in 1952 and then to finally join the Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dances in Tirana where she had all her future career. In the ensemble she sang solo songs such as “Bishtalecat palë-palë”, “N’zaman të asaj furie”, “Çu-çu-rushja”, “Çila sytë me t’pa”, “Këndon bilbili poshtë tek zalli” “Karafil i kuq si gjaku”, “Për mue paska ken kismet”, “Bishtalecat palë-palë”. In addition, she sang many duets even with other distinguished folk singers such as Fitnete Rexha, Bik Ndoja “People’s Artist”, Xhevdet Hafizi “Merited Artist”, Ibrahim Tukiqi “People’s Artist” etc. Some of these songs are: “Karafili me kurorë” with Bik Ndoja; “As aman moj Bakushe”, “Këndon bilbili poshtë tek zalli”, “Hajde moj” with Ibrahim Tukiqin; “Kur jemi bashkë ne të dy” with Xhevdet Hafizin, composed by Leonard Deda and harmonised for chorus and orchestra by Çesk Zadeja.
