Kristo Jorgo

“Kristo’s Kaba” is a masterful reinterpretation of the “Mediu’s Kaba” with two parts: lament and joyful dance.

In his Kaba we distinguish confidence, full sound and virtuoso gërnet texture, especially in its wideness. The combination he creates between the lament element and the pastoral one is rare in terms of compositional structure. The violin as a “cutter”, especially in lament’s part, is quite proper. In the dance’s part or kaba’s turn we may experience the beauty of the musical phrase of this master.

Their Saze consisted of Kiço Jorgo on gërnet, Jani Jorgo (1959) on violin, Petraq Jorgo (1937) on lute and Stavro Jorgo (1939) on accordion.
